Quest and misc.

Quest is a program that was originally designed by the International Lions Club.  Kathy Rieder at THS is teaching the program to THS students during this semester.

She has asked that some of us come to her classroom and talk to the students about the Lions organization this Wednesday, October 1, 2:00 PM.  If you could be at THS by 1:50PM, go to the school office, sign in as a visitor/Lions member, be back in the main school lobby by about 2-3 minutes till 2:00, we can all walk to the classroom together.

Now, I know that most of you are still employed and will need to get back to work and I would be happy to represent you myself.  This is my cup of tea, but the young people need to see that Lions come from a variety of groups of people.  This might someday give us an opening for a really good LEO club a THS.  So please donate 30 +/- minutes to Lions on Wednesday October 1 at THS.  Even if you can not make the noon lunch meeting, come to the THS meeting.

My suggestion is that each one of us have a 1-3 minute comments to introduce yourself and about why YOU as an individual are a Lion.  Maybe some one asked you,  maybe you worked a specific project, maybe you actually received the benefits of the Lions program s prior to being a LIon, maybe just for fun or to eat with a group, etc.  If several people can introduce themselves and talk briefly, the Quest participants will have a better understanding of the Lions organization.

Regular meeting on Wednesday, October 1.  Plenty of exciting things are happening.  Please try to be there as often as possible to know for sure what is going on.
