Wednesday Sept. 26th 's meeting notes
Today we had a presentation by Woody Dillehay from the Tullahoma Schools system. He thanked the Downtown Lions heartily for the hearing screening program and gave us news on the new state requirements. This program will now include the following grades K ,2 ,4 ,6 ,8 ,9 to help the school fulfill state requirements.
We'll finish up this week by doing Robert E. Lee on Thursday Sept.27th and East Lincoln on Friday Sept. 28th.
We've rescheduled next week to include East and West Middle schools to cover the 6th and 8th grades. We'll do East on Monday Oct.1 and West on Tuesday Oct. 2nd.
Then on Thursday Oct. 4th we'll wrap up at St. Paul Academy.

Joyce Prusack was a guest speaker this Wednesday as well, representing the Coffee County Child Advocacy Center. She gave a chilling account of how many children were reported abused last year and the flags that were placed at the courthouse as a visual reminded of this oft overlooked problem.
But her message was one of hope and positive outlook. It was good to see such a caring person in her position. She also talked about her dad being a Lion for decades, and the fact that he ironically became blind himself. She recognized the Lions for being a big part of his life, but also for all the help Lions provided to her dad and her family.
