Wednesday, April 16, our club will host 25-30 guests (students, parents, teachers) as we honor the winners of the Lions Club Drug Essay contest. As a former educator, I request that you please take a minute to thank each teacher for the time that they put into our project. There is so much pressure on teachers today to do what other people want done. Believe me, it is an honor to us that they continue to even allow our project to continue in the schools. Almost every year, schools have to cut more and more of the community projects they participated in during the past years, because they are required to do so many other things by federal and state guidelines.
April 16 Drug Essay Luncheon This is a meeting in which we honor three winners of the drug essay contest and their parents from each of the middle schools in Tullahoma. There will be several guests. Each 8 th student winner will receive a certificate and a check.
Our club needs you if you can possibly attend this meeting. Each of us need to be in the roll of hosts as these guests attend our meeting.
