Your's Truly and Lion Tammy were honored to accompany 2nd Vice District Governor Linda Justice to the chartering of the newest club in our MD-12S district this past Saturday Night at the Murfreesboro Clubhouse. I'll be posting photos of our Vision and Hearing screening very soon, but I want this to stay up a few days so that others can view and save. I know Vision Chair Cathy Walker and Hearing Chair Tammy Overman would like to thank all the members of our club for rallying around the screening. While the numbers are not totally in, we believe we did 1800+ through the new Communications Van and a couple of hundred with the SureSight. Great job Cathy and Tammy! I'd personally like to thank Lion Wayne Parris for loaning us the generator and Lions Colin Lawrence and Reggie McDonald for helping me get the van to the schools. Great job Cathy and Tammy! Lion Jan Rayburn has graciously accepted the chairmanship of the Drug Essay contest which is our next large service project. Lion Marilyn Morris is hard at work chairing our Christmas Program. Also thanks to Lion Baylon Hilliard and the Scholarship committee for their hard work on the Scholarship committee. And of course none of this would be possible without a successful Golf Tournament led by Lion Harry Brittain, Lana Woodard and all the others... too numerous to mention. More to come! GaryO
